Globe A22 A Morality Play: Everyman

Morality Plays were didactic allegories with characters such as Good Deeds. This one was staged at Holy Names College, Oakland, Ca, with typical minimal resources: a temporary stage, backed by a curtain. The effect was more static and abstract than the colorful biblical stories of the mystery plays.
