California Shakespeare Theatre in Daylight

Any performance here necessarily involves the landscape, like many ancient classical theatres - such as the view of Mount Etna from the theatre of Taormina (see Gallery 9, Album 1, Images 4-6). This 2003 performance was of Shaw's Arms and the Man, his updating of elements of the Henry IV- Henry V series (See Gallery 11, Album 12, Image 1 for analysis of Shaw's relation to Shakespeare). Most Shakespeare companies diversify their repertoire with analogous more modern plays
