The Keat-Shelley Museum (right) at the Spanish Steps, in Rome.
This setting is one of the most picturesque and lively in the city of Rome, reflecting the baroque extravagance shared by the Globe Theatre's interior. The mild climate of Rome determined that Keats would live in this building at the end of his life because of his affliction with tuberculosis (see next images). Rome is crucial setting for many of Shakespeare's plays because of its classical status.Photo: Arpingstone, courtesy of the Yorck Project, under GNU Free Document License.
