Keats trained as a surgeon-apothecary at Guy's Hospital in 1815 and 1816 and lived on nearby St Thomas' Street. Shakespeare shows a remarkable expertise in medical matters though seemingly without formal training. Many artists seem akin to physiologists and psychologists in their interests.
