Tintern Abbey in the Wye Valley, Wales.
"Lines composed a few miles above Tintern Abbey on revisiting the banks of the Wye Valley during a tour, July 13, 1798" is a poem by William Wordsworth. Though the poem is not about the abbey directly it has always sign-posted its situation. Medieval buildings are frequently the specified settings for scenes in Shakespeare's history plays. Indeed his company's Blackfriars Theatre was located in just such a medieval building, which had been secularized.Photo: Rafaël Delaedt via Yorck Project, File licensed by Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 2.5: users may share & make derivatives of it , attributed & distributed by identical license.
