Dryden's Aurengzebe staged by children.
Child performers are mentioned in Shakespeare's Hamlet, and children continued to stage plays into the eighteenth century: these at the house of John Conduit in 1731-2 were painted by William Hogarth. Such children continue to perform Shakespeare, as with the Hobart School Shakespeareans in Los Angeles. Courtesy of the Yorck Project (Galway Gallery), under GNU Free Document License.
