Of our two productions of TNK, this was the live one: the studio version had as its Theseus an ex-Sergeant of Marines from the Vietnam War (see next image). Throughout the play (as in MSND) Theseus appears as the defender and regulator of the institution of marriage - even though his own sexual history was quite erratic.
