The Construction in Orinda of the Bruns Theatre of the California Shakespeare Festival. It opened in 1991.
Like many other twentieth-century Shakespeare theatres (in Odessa TX and San Diego CA) this theatre involves elements of the original Globe - in this case its ground plan and open-air configuration. It also exploits the surrounding landscape like the ancient Greek theatres.
