4.11 Falstaff Examines His Recruits

This engraving by Hogarth, dated 1799, illustrates a scene (III.ii) in Henry IV Part 2. Its dedication to Mrs. Garrick suggests it may have some relationship to peformance. At least it shows an 18th Century view of the play.
