The Comedy of Errors: Henry and Thomas Placide as the two Dromios.
Thomas Placide (1807-77) was an enegetic actor without great talent. He physucally resembled his brother Henry Placide (1799-1870), but his skill was inferior to Henry's. Clearly the family resemblance of the brothers allowed them to pass plausibly as the twin comic servants in this play. Engraving, by Martin & Johnson.
