The Oregon Shakespeare Festival's "Elizabethan" Theatre at Ashland.
This stage attempts to recreate one end of the rectangular Fortune Theatre of Henslowe for modern performances. The lack of a complete quadrangle alters the acoustics and focus, which have not been much improved by the recent addition of a vast auditorium screen round the seating area. Unlike the modern Globe in London, this stage faces the sun and becomes unbearably hot most afternoons, hence the temporary canopy.
